Dans cet appartement confortable et cosy, très typique du centre de paris, avec parquet et poutres apparentes vous pourrez profitez pleinement de la vie parisienne comme de vrais parisiens ! Situé au cœur du "village Montorgueil" dans le 2ème arrondissement, ce superbe 2 pièces d'une surface de 40 M² vous fournira tout le confort nécessaire pour un séjour d’exception. Dans un style design et élégant, il dispose d'un vaste séjour avec canapé, table basse, TV écran plat et lecteur DVD, d’un coin repas 6 places, et d’un coin bureau / bibliothèque avec Ordinateur Apple équipé d'une connexion internet wifi. Vous pourrez profitez d’un lit King Size dans la chambre donnant sur une salle de bain carrelée très agréable et fonctionnelle. Une grande penderie sera à votre disposition. La cuisine est quant à elle toute équipée avec réfrigérateur / four / grille pain / machine à café Nespresso... De plus un deuxième vrai lit 2 places, avec un matelas de grande marque, est disponible dans le salon intégré dans une armoire-lit. Situé au premier étage, avec Ascenseur, d’un immeuble du 16eme siècle, cet appartement chaleureux vous accueillera pour un séjour à partir de 3 nuits. Ce qui est inclus : draps, serviettes de bains, sèche-cheveux, les bases pour faire la cuisine, accès illimité à Internet ADSL , WIFI, un ordinateur iMac (écran plat, Apple). Environnement Si vous voulez faire l’expérience d’un Paris authentique et coloré, ne ratez pas le quartier Montorgueil. A quelques mètres à peine de Châtelet, ce paradis pour piétons amoureux de gastronomie est idéal pour découvrir le paris authentique. Les rues anciennes du quartier sont dépourvues de voitures mais regorgent par contre de petits commerçants qui en font une des meilleures adresses parisiennes pour votre marché de produits frais. L’artère principale est la rue Montorgueil elle-même, le long de laquelle vous trouverez étals de fruits et légumes, boulangeries, boucheries et autres fromageries. A côté, les rues Tiquetonne et Montmartre proposent elles aussi leur lot de boutiques dans une très belle architecture parisienne d’époque. Si vous louez un appartement dans le quartier, vous pourrez tester vos talents à réussir de délicieux plats français en utilisant les produits frais que vous trouverez au coin de la rue. Si vous n’avez pas le temps de préparer votre propre dessert, rendez vous à la Maison Stohrer, une pâtisserie fondée en 1730 par Nicolas Stohrer. Ce cuisinier avait commencé sa carrière à la cour du roi de Pologne où il aurait inventé le désormais très célèbre baba au rhum, un gâteau léger trempé dans du rhum. Parmi les autres spécialités, vous pourrez essayer une religieuse, faite d’un chou fourré à la crème pâtissière aromatisée, ou bien encore une tarte aux fraises sauvages. Vous trouverez également de nombreux bistros dans le quartier. “Au rocher de Cancale” est spécialisé dans les huitres depuis 1846 et reste une bonne adresse pour les fruits de mers ainsi que pour une cuisine traditionnelle. Pour une délicatesse purement française, les escargots, essayez “L’escargot Montorgueil”, qui sert ce succulent mollusque depuis plus d’un siècle. Comme un havre de paix au centre même de paris, le quartier est appelé le « Village Montorgueil » Il fait bon s’y balader et prendre un café assis à l'une des innombrables terrasses, ou encore faire son marché des délicieux produits frais de la fameuse et très animée rue Montorgueil. Pour les amateurs de mode le quartier regorge de bonnes adresses, entre la rue Etienne Marcel, la rue Montmartre, la rue Saint Honoré, temple de la mode, et la place Vendôme quelques pas plus loin, vous aurez de quoi rassasiez les plus exigeant(e)s. Il ne vous faut que quelques minutes pour vous rendre à pied, et de l'appartement, au merveilleux musée du Louvre, au musée Beaubourg , dans les sublimes jardins des tuileries , les jardins du Palais-Royal , l'incontournable quartier du Marais, à la Cathédrale de Notre Dame ou encore dans le quartier mythique de " Saint Germain des Prés " .... Situé en plein centre de Paris vous serez très bien desservis grâce aux transports en commun avec notamment des accès directs depuis les aéroports Roissy Charles de Gaulle et Orly ainsi que depuis les principales gares de TGV. Proche des stations Chatelet, Les Halles, Etienne Marcel , Sentier, avec les lignes de métro 1, 3, 4, 7, 11, 14 et des RER A , B, D vous serez également en mesure de rejoindre tous les autres sites touristiques en moins de 30 min.

Du 15 dec au 15 janvier, le prix proposé est celui pour  1/2 personnes, compter 10% supplementaire par nuit / personne supplementaire. (4 pers max)

We absolutely LOVED the apartment! The accomodations were so comfortable for the 3 of us and very nicely appointed. It was so centrally located - an amazing area to stay, restaurants, bakeries, grocery stores and everything we could possibly need was within walking distance. We would highly recommend Diane's apartment to our friends and family and were very pleased with Paris-Sharing, they earned our trust!

This apartment is in a fantastic location in the 2nd arondissement in Paris. We walked to alot of the main attractions including The Louvre and The Champs Elysees. However if you prefer not to walk the metro is conveniently located up the street. The apartment is positioned in a little village like street with some lovely patisseries nearby.

The apartment also had a computer which helped to research places whilst you are there.

At night it can get a little noisy however this can be expected when you want to stay somewhere as convenient as this. In saying that the noise is not overbearing and is tolerable.

Diane our host for the apartment was very welcoming and willing to please. She was at the apartment when we arrived and went through what Paris has to offer and best ways to get there which was very helpful. She goes beyond her duty to help you in any way she can.

Overall the location, host and value were fantastic and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

The apartment itself was immaculately clean, outfitted with everything one could possibly need for a holiday stay and was conveniently located to everything!! Diane and Thomas were the most lovely and informative hosts, and made us feel extremely welcome from the very first email! I would recommend Chez Diane to anyone looking for a beautiful apartment in a fabulous area of Paris, with wonderful hosts!! We will definitely be back! Thank you for a fantastic holiday!

This apartment is in a fantastic location. Many of the main attractions such as The Louvres, Champs Elysees and Notre Dame Cathedral are within walking distance and for those furter away, the nearest metro station is just a 5 minute walk away.

It is very clean and well presented and was big enough for the four of us. The computer was a bonus as we were able to research places to visit. Our host Diane was wonderfully friendly, helpful, informative and reliable. The coffee making facilites and the biscuits were a very nice touch!

There are many fantastic shops (baker,butcher,cheese shop) in the adjoining street that provide reasonabley priced local food. We had a fantastic holiday!!

"Chez Diane"!! Excellent location. First rate accommodations and amenities. Diane was most welcoming upon our arrival and provided excellent visitor resources. The quite spacious apartment sits above restaurants, and around the corner are the most interesting shops, bistros, bakeries, and meat and poultry shops with fresh cooked products available "to-go". We are in our sixties and this was our third trip over and would love to stay at "Chez Diane" again. - Tom & Kathryn

I would give the highest recommendation for this apartment. After spending 5 days in this apartment I will never stay in a hotel in Paris again. It's the best location with all you need close by. Restaurants, supermarket, butcher, bakery etc.. Rue Montorgueil is an oasis in the middle of Paris.

We had such a great time in Paris, staying at this really lovely apartment. The location was fabulous - street markets in the daytime, and lots of great places to eat at night. We were able to walk to most of the landmarks, and the metro station was nearby when we needed it.
Diane was so friendly and flexible and we really felt "at home" in the apartment. If we return to Paris we would make sure to stay there and will definitely recommend it to our friends.

Beaubourg - Les Halles

From a logistic standpoint, this is heart of Paris (or according to Zola, the stomach) : the place where all the railways cross, where masses of people flow in and out day and night. It was and is once again a place of gigantic urban planning and architectural experimentation. From their role as the central marketplace beginning some 800 years ago when Philippe August built the initial structure, Les Halles were transformed from the 1970's into a vast public space for leisure and shopping. The Pompidou Modern Art Center (Centre Pompidou or Beaubourg), once perceived as a monstrosity with its metal guts displayed on the outside, has become as popular a place to visit as the Eiffel tower. Today, the neighborhood is destined for yet another vast and futuristic project with work beginning in 2010. Until it is complete, the neighborhood will continue to fascinate with some of the city's oldest streets and most amazing stories. For example, Henri VI was assassinated at 11, rue de la Ferronnerie. The pictoresque rue Quincampoix marks the downfall of the Scottish banker, named Law, who did just a good a job of bringing on financial ruin as did Bernard Madoff.

Incidentally, for the purists, Beaubourg borders the 1st but is part of the 4th.
