"Au sujet de notre offre d'hébergement :"
Rue Sedaine is calm and of little interest in the evening, but the whole atmosphere changes just one street over on the extremely lively rue de la Roquette and rue de Lapp. These streets are packed with trendy bars and restaurants. Other immediate attractions include one of Paris’ largest open-air markets on the avenue Richard Lenoir.
You will find some of the best traditional baguettes at the nearby boulangerie “La Baguette Tardif” and should thoroughly enjoy the numerous restaurants at your doorstep, starting with ”Le café de l'Industrie”, a veritable institution in the 11th arrondissement.

Appréciations
During our six-week long visit to Europe we stayed in a combination of apartments, hotels, and hostels in both rural villages and large cities. We can say, without hesitation, that our most comfortable stay was in the apartment that we rented through Paris-Sharing.com. That comfort began with our with first contact via email with Carsten, the website founder, and lasted until we left. We felt well cared for and completely satisfied. Carsten went to great lengths to ensure that our time in Paris was a full experience: lots of detail about the neighborhood and helpful suggestions on which restaurants to enjoy and which to avoid, where to find the open air markets and when they were open, etc. We were personally escorted to the two nearest metro stations and shown both the quickest and the most scenic routes between them and the apartment.
Our experience of the grandeur and glory of Paris was greatly enhanced by the excellence of our accommodation and our hosts. We wish we had found such a great resource as Paris-Sharing for our stays in other cities.

Ever since that momentus revolutionary destruction of a prison (even though there were only seven inmates at the time), the Bastille neighborhood has carried a naughty reputation. It subsequently became a hot spot for dance halls, brothels, and other unruly establishments. What remains today is an extraodinarly diverse and constantly changing neighborhood with all imaginable forms of commerce and culture.
