ParisSharing reveals a series of August freebies

Guests to be offered a free night’s stay in a ParisSharing apartment, then invited to eat, drink, and enjoy unique Paris events virtually free of charge

Paris, August 11, 2011 As another global economic crisis lurks, ParisSharing, an up-and-coming alternative accommodation website, is intent on making travel to the city of lights an affordable proposition in spite of it all. During the month of August, the website is offering its guests the following freebies:

Free night’s stay in a real Parisian self-catering apartment

Free lunch at a selected ParisSharing eatery

Free bottle of white wine (Domaine de Tariquet classic)

Free drinks on the beach (Paris Plage)

Free jazz manouche

Free moonlight cinema

Free entrance to the Petit Palais and the Musée Carnavalet

The details of these free offers are presented in detail on the ParisSharing blog.

Although some of the offerings are free to anyone (not just ParisSharing customers), others represent real efforts to attract travellers during these difficult economic times.

“Wrapping all the freebies into one package demonstrates that we are dedicated to the total experience of our guests,” commented Carsten Sprotte, the founder of ParisSharing.

ParisSharing apartments are for the most part real homes that are left vacant during the month of August while their owners leave on vacation. Statistics from the French Ministry of Tourism show that virtually half of Parisians leave the city during that month.

“In these difficult economic times, both Parisians and Paris visitors have much to gain by “sharing” homes in this way” emphasized Sprotte, who started out by renting his own Paris apartment when taking trips back to the USA, his home country.  “It’s just another example of the collaborative consumption trend that is gradually transforming the way we live and do business.”

The key selling proposition of ParisSharing is to make the experience simple, secure, and social for hosts and guests.
