How to make a home exchange through Paris-Sharing.com

On ParisSharing.com you can find, reserve, and secure your home exchange with just a few steps. 

 1. Use our search functions to find your ideal home. Check that it is marked available for the dates you require and click on "Request a reservation."

2. Sign-up on the website (you will be prompted to do so). Your registration is required for all reservation requests (ParisSharing doesn't work in cognito). You will receive an email confirmation with a link to click on in order to activate your account. 

3. Complete your reservation form with the required information about your trip (number of persons travelling, special needs,...)  Complete your member profile the best you can. This will greatly enhance your chances!

4. List your home on our website. Before your request is submitted, your own home must also appear on our website so that your potential exchange partner can decide whether or not he/she is interested. Our website will lead you through the process. You just need to make sure that you have plenty of attractive photos beforehand, as these are a pre-requisite for publishing on our website.

5. Your request is sent directly to your host who should confirm interest and availability within 48 hours at the latest. During this period, he/she may ask you for additional information about yourself or your trip. 

6. If your host confirms interest and availability, you will need to validate your agreement by paying the subscription price as shown on our website. This price represents, in most cases, about half what it would cost for one night in a hotel for a family of four. Even better, in case your exchange partner cancels, you are reimbursed.  Once validated, you and your host will receive confirmation of the agreement, along with recommended home exchange contract. 

7. Confirm your trip, including all relevant travel details, as soon as you are able. This information is conveniently stored on our website so that you and your host can refer to it at any time. 

8. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by your host or a ParisSharing greeter. The welcome involves three steps :

-  We'll meet you at the place of your choosing: the airport, train station, or directly at the accommodation.

-  We'll give you a tour of the accommodation, with explanations if necessary on how to use the amenities. You will be given an arrival inventory on which you can make any observations. 

- We'll confirm any additional services you may have ordered, hand you over the keys and wish you the best of stays. !

8. At the end of your stay, we may arrange a check-out with you and your host or his respresentative as a formality to insure that everything is in good shape, as it was left to you.
