Au P'tit Cahoua
Outside of Morroco itself, Paris may offer the best Morrocan cuisine in the world. Hidden away on a back street a few minutes walk from Bastille, this is a cozy eaterie decorated in warm earth-tones and authentic morrocan trimmings.
The cuisine takes a slightly personal take on traditional Morrocan fair. They call it "cuisine nostalgique de Maroc" or nostalgic morrocan cuisine. Each offers a special "tagine du jour" according to the chef's inspiration. These tajines are generous helpings cooked in the same earthware dishes in which they are served. Those who love their food piping hot will love it.
A victim of its success, the restaurant is usually crowded. Best to come early in the week, or for lunch.
