Reserving your accommodation

ParisSharing helps you find, reserve, and pay your accommodation in just a few steps. It's simple, secure, and social.

 1. Use our search functions to find your ideal accommodation. Check that it is marked available for the dates you require and click on Reserve.

2. Sign-up on the website (you will be prompted to do so). Your registration is required for all reservation requests (ParisSharing doesn't work in cognito). You will receive an email confirmation with a link to click on in order to activate your account. 

3. Complete your reservation form with the required information about your trip (number of persons travelling, special needs,...)  

4. Your request is sent directly to your host who will confirm availability as quickly as possible (48 hours at the latest). During this period, he/she may ask you for additional information about yourself or your trip. 

5. If the accommodation is confirmed as available, you will receive a summary of your order that can be modified or cancelled directly on the website. To validate your reservation, you are then requested to make an advance payment of 30% (or 100% if you choose to benefit from total cancelation flexibility). Your stay is only booked after we have received the initial payment. You will also be asked to provide authorisation for a security deposit.

You do not have any advance payment to make for a home exchange, but are required to pay the subscription price for listing your home on the website. 

6. Confirm your trip, including all relevant travel details, at least five days prior to arrival. If you have a remaining balance to pay, you will be asked to finalize this payment by credit card or by bank wire. You will be sent a receipt along with all the details concerning your host and your accommodation. If you want to pay in cash, this will need to be arranged in advance.

7. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by the host or a ParisSharing greeter. The welcome involves three steps :

-  We'll meet you at the place of your choosing: the airport, train station, or directly at the accommodation.

-  We'll give you a tour of the accommodation, with explanations if necessary on how to use the amenities. You will be given an arrival inventory on which you can make any observations. 

- We'll confirm any additional services you may have ordered, hand you over the keys and wish you a fantastic stay! We'll also be available of course during your stay to provide any assistance you may require.

8. At the end of your stay, we'll arrange a check-out with you and your host or his respresentative as a necessary formality to insure that everything is in good shape, as it was left to you.
