Color me Paris!

A hint of color by the St. Martin canal

Cheer up!

On this first of February, we are in the depth of a bleak winter in Paris. From very wet and grey, we have gone to very cold and grey. This blog entry is a splash of bright and tantalizing color, as well as a contest to discover Paris and beyond. The winner(s) will be rewarded.

Paris is best known for its architectural harmony and delicate palette of mostly neutral colors, from beige to white to grey. While this makes for a certain distinguished elegance, the occasional dashes of color add a bit of welcomed frivolity and gaity. These unexpected hues are all the more eye-catching because they are rare.
In the series of photos linked above, you will discover bursts of color throughout Paris (and beyond). Yes, there are a few misplaced photos from other places in the world, just to keep you on your toes! They are also there to remind you that Paris-Sharing includes home exchange, and we are eager to welcome colorful homes worldwide on our website.
Now, here is the contest. Each photo in the series of twenty is accompanied by a question in the commentary field underneath it. You will need to click on each photo to see the commentary underneath.
The questions are not so easy, so we figure that if you are able to answer 16 of them (80%), our small company owes you a big reward. Yes, you will earn 25 PariShares! That’s just a many as you would earn had you rented or exchanged a home, or stayed in a B&B via Paris-Sharing.com.
What’s a PariShare worth? 1 PS = 1 Euro. You can use PariShares to get discounts off any service provided by Paris-Sharing, and can even transfer your shares to a friend. You must be a registered Paris-Sharing member to claim your shares.
Maybe you are wondering what you will deserve if you find the answers to all the questions? Probably we will have to hire you, or at least seriously negotiate some bonus. Indeed, such a feat is not impossible but would be amazing.
Give it a shot! You have until the end of February to submit your answers. Winners will be announced and answers provided the first week in March.
How to submit answers.
Best is to put your answer in the commentary field beneath the photo. If you do so, remember to put your name next to your answer if you are not a Flikr member.
Alternatively, you can submit your answers through the Google form provided here. This will require that you have the photos open at the same time in a separate window.
By the way, did you know that you can also earn PariShares (and lots of recognition and appreciation!) by placing links from any blog, website, or travel forum to www.paris-sharing.com?
