Our Charter

We believe that renting or exchanging one’s home is not only of great practical benefit for all involved, but also opens doors to understanding people and cultures.  This requires trust, and that is why we think it is important for every member to adhere to our charter. Some of the principles may seem obvious to the well-raised among us, but we want there to be no doubt about what is expected from you as member.

As a traveller, I commit to:

☯       Providing accurate information about myself and those travelling with me

☯       Scrupulously respecting the property where I am staying, with special attention to the sentimental or symbolic value that someone else’s belongings may have

☯       Respecting the culture of my host by avoiding any behaviours that could be offensive to him/her or to his/her neighbors

☯       Evaluating my stay with honesty and tolerance

As a property owner or host, I commit to:

☯       Insuring the accuracy of information that I provide about my property on the Site, including the use of photos to provide the most sincere representation possible

☯       Answering each reservation request in a timely manner (42 hours max except for notified periods of absence)

☯       Honestly assessing the condition of the apartment upon arrival of the tourist, so that the customer/guest suffers no doubt about his/her own responsibility

☯       Preparing my home for use by another member just as I would hope to receive it, were it my place of vacation.

As a member, I commit to communicating with other members in a kind and respectful way. I further recognize and accept that I am bound to the Terms of Use and Terms of Sale for all activities on the website.
